J Leaves Their “Crew” at Home

In light of the incredible Amazon Air announcement a few weeks back, I wanted to test the waters with some ecommerce companies to see what they thought about such an innovation in product fulfillment. I began with J Crew, which is a fashion company I figured would be “cool” enough to play along with my social antics.
Unfortunately, J Crew wanted nothing to do with me on either Twitter or Facebook. All I did was mention that I wanted to buy some of their products. Yes, I may have also stated that I wanted them to deliver the clothing via a drone, but that should still have piqued their curiosity enough to entertain my inquiry.

In the screenshot below, you’ll see my tweet to them and immediately notice the emptiness in the @reply section.

I did get one favorite on the tweet, which is better than nothing, but it’s disappointing that my targets aren’t playing their role in social media engagement. Chalk this down as yet another company that doesn’t know what they’re doing.
