July’s 30 Day Challenge: Learn Spanish

June’s 30 Day Challenge of playing the piano everyday went very well. I made sure to get behind the piano and tickle the irons every day. I focused on learning new chords and progressions and even came up with my own way to enhance my skills with a new key every day.
When out of the house, I managed to watch a few interesting piano videos that helped me work on other creative techniques I would have otherwise not thought about.

The output of my hard work in June is my writing of new music. I’m hoping to keep playing throughout the future so that I have something to record and show off in the future.

As for the month of July, I’m going to be traveling for about half of the month, so I needed to pick something that would be possible to accomplish from anywhere on the go. Therefore, I knew it needed to be something digital.

I’ve always wanted to go through the Duolingo app in more detail, so I’m going to use the hectic month to increase my Spanish-language skills. Like most students these days, I took several years of Spanish class throughout Elementary and High School. I have a decent foundation, but obviously have a long way to go as well.

We’ll have to see how it pans out. I’m just excited to find out if I’ll be able to chime in during some of the Spanish conversations that take place at my office.

Perhaps I’ll be able to speak as quickly as this gentleman:
