Not a lot of website platforms allow you to blog as effectively remotely as you can from your desk.
First, let me be clear. I said “website” platforms – not blogging platforms. Blogging platforms are fine, but in this day an age, I want a website platform that also offers blogging functionality.
Secondly, most of these platforms do offer mobile blogging experiences, but they’ve never felt superior or equivalent to the publishing flow of the desktop UX.
I’m writing all of this from my iPhone in the mountains of California. I am using Squarespace’s Blog app. It is superior and super easy to work with.
Needless to say, it won’t be technology that disallows me to post while I’m traveling in the future. Only lack of time will get in the way moving forward.
That said, I’ll still try to write while I’m on vacation the next few weeks. I can’t promise it will be every day, but I will post whenever I can.
