It’s no surprise that as a company grows, it’s systems become harder and harder to manage.
The trick is to understand the core ingredients to communicating productivity across a company – no matter the size. This has more to do with company culture and communication processes than people, but that’s kinda the point here.
The main inputs for growing successfully are:
- Accountability
- Clarity
The below TED talk does a fantastic job of comparing this concept to an Olympic level relay race.
The takeaway: The team with the fastest runners don’t always win. It’s the most focused, most in-sync team (accountability and clarity) that passes the baton the smoothest – and it’s usually that factor that opens up the gaps in running times (productivity) the most.
