The Stimulus and the Response

With every conflict, there follows a decision.

The decision is what to do, but how to do it.

Conflict elevates emotion. It ruffles feathers. It boils the water.

Thus, the time it takes to look internally to understand the conflict at hand becomes most critical.

  1. What just happened?
  2. How did it happen?
  3. How am I impacted?
  4. What is the best path to resolve it?

Without proper reflection in the moment, our lizard brains stop at the first step and hit the panic button. That’s when we’re exposed to the ugly side of the human temperment.

Train your mind to observe and think through each moment.

Don’t let your fear ring the alarm.

I’m sure you’ll be able to look around and find some love instead.

Love will get you to a resolution quicker. Always.
